Support the Scholarship Fund

We are pleased to announce King Soopers, through their Community Rewards program, has implemented a new and more convenient way to help raise money for our Scholarship Fund. Beginning April 1, every time you purchase groceries at King Soopers using your loyalty card or alternate ID, you will be able to contribute to Brighton United Methodist Church. Supporters can earn rewards on almost anything, every time they shop.

However, there are specific purchases that cannot be included such as: Alcohol, Tobacco, Government Assisted Pharmacy Expenses, Postage Stamps, Kroger Co. Family of Stores Gift Cards, Green Dot Prepaid Reloadable Products, MoneyPaks, 1-2-3 Rewards Reloadable Visa PrePaid Debit Card, ReCharge Cards, American Express Variable Load Gift Cards, Visa Variable Load Gift Cards, MasterCard Variable Load Gift Cards, Bottle Deposits, Lottery and Promotional tickets, Money Orders, Western Union, Fuel, and Sales Tax are excluded from eligible purchases. Eligible pharmacy purchases include out-of-pocket co-pays for nongovernmental assisted pharmacy programs.

This new program will phase out the current gift card program that we have taken part in for many years. Now, ALL our members who shop at King Soopers can contribute to the program, and they do not have to make any extra purchases of gift cards to do so! We think this is very exciting news and we are anxious to make sure we have a seamless and smooth transition that continues to reward graduates of Brighton United Methodist Church!

In order for BUMC to immediately receive the rewards, we need your help!

You must register with a King Soopers account, which requires limited information.

You can register at https://www.kingsoopers.com/.

To Register:

Step One: If you already have a registered account skip to Step 2

  • On the right side of the screen, you will see a ‘Welcome, Sign in’ prompt. Click the drop arrow, and select Sign In.
  • When the username and password screen appears, scroll down to the ‘Create an account’ prompt and click there.
  • To set up an account, you will need an email address, your first and last name, a password (which you create), and your loyalty card number or an alternate ID (most people use their phone number)
  • Once you complete all the information, your account will be set up.

  • When in your account, scroll to the bottom of the screen on the main King Soopers page.
  • Under the Community section, select ‘King Soopers Community Rewards’
  • On the next screen, select ‘Enroll Now’
  • You will be prompted to search for an organization, search for Brighton United Methodist Church; once you find us, just click on the tab and you are ready to go!

What if I don’t want to register with King Soopers?

No problem! We have created an account linked to the church. When you are ready to check out at the register, use the keypad (where you swipe your credit card to pay) at the register and enter in the church phone number as your alternate ID.

What if I need help to get registered?

You can also stop by the office any time during business hours and Lisa will be happy to help you. It is helpful to be registered before April 1, that way all purchase rewards begin immediately!

What if I still have gift cards?

Great news! King Soopers knows there will still be many cards out there. In an effort to aid in the transition, you can still recharge your card up until March 31 and we will receive a portion back to the church. Even more exciting- you can then use that card after April 1, after enrolling in the new program, and we will receive rewards from those purchases as well! We have a short opportunity to receive double rewards. So, charge those cards asap and buy any new cards prior to March 31! (Remember, the new program does not kick off until April 1)

Please register and take part in supporting our Scholarship program! Don’t let technology stop you- come in to the office and let me help you!
